Your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email.

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

At the surgery we offer some appointments outside of normal surgery hours...

If you would like an evening or Saturday appointment, please request this when you contact your practice. Details of your appointment, including the location of your appointment (if booked during enhanced access hours) will be given by reception at the time of booking.

As part of this service, appointments will be available between:

  • 6:30pm to 8pm Monday to Friday
  • 9am to 5pm Saturdays - these appointments are pre-arranged only and maybe at Mayflower Medical Centre Harwich, St James Surgery Clacton on Sea or Great Bentley Surgery.

Home visits are only for patients who are housebound or unable to visit the practice due to their illness, condition and/or disability. To request a home visit please telephone the practice on 01255 879400 before 10.00 am on weekdays. We are unable to take requests after 10.00 am as visits normally take place at the end of morning surgery. A member of the team will call you back to assess your needs, a visit, telephone call or video call maybe arranged depending on the symptoms/query. When considering whether you need a home visit, please be mindful there are better facilities for examining and treating patients within the surgery. You can also:

  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday, when we are open
