Flu Jab Appointments

Flu jab appointments for can now be booked online with Patient Access or by calling our dedicated flu line 01255 508020. To ease the pressure on our phones, please book online wherever possible.

You may be aware that the government has lowered the qualifying age for a free flu jab to 50 this year. If you are aged 50-64 and are newly eligible on the basis of age alone, please do not contact the surgery just yet. We are awaiting further guidance from the NHS and plan to vaccinate this group later in the year. Please note that this does NOT apply to those who are eligible for the flu jab on the basis of a chronic condition.

Our flu clinics will be on a strictly appointment only basis and no walk-ins can be accepted. Clinics will commence in October and Saturday and Sunday appointments are available.

To help us ensure the flu clinics run smoothly, please ensure that you arrive promptly at your appointment time, rather than early or late, and adhere to 2 metres social distancing. If you or any members of your household have a high temperature, new persistent dry cough or a change in or loss of your sense of taste or smell, please DO NOT attend.

You will be temperature checked on the door and asked to confirm that you have no COVID-19 symptoms. You will be required to wear a face covering or mask unless you are medically exempt. If you do not have a face covering or mask, one will be provided.

A maximum of 6 patients will be allowed in the surgery at a time and a one way system is in place. A member of staff will direct you to the next available clinician and we ask that you remove your coat and / or roll up your sleeve prior to entering the surgery so that your arm is exposed and ready.

Once you have received your jab, a member of staff will direct you to exit via the staff entrance.
