Repeat Prescriptions

If you are on long term treatment, your doctor may agree to supply some of your repeat prescriptions without seeing you. Requests for repeat prescriptions must be made at least two working days in advance in one of three ways:

We do not accept telephone requests for repeat prescriptions, as this would place too much pressure on our phone lines and can result in errors of communication.

If you wish, you may nominate a chemist and your prescription will be sent directly there. To allow the chemist adequate time to process you prescription, please allow 5 working days, from the time of your request to your collection.

We also offer a repeat dispensing service, which is a system by which 6 months’ worth of prescriptions are sent to your nominated chemist so that you do not have to put your request in each month. To be eligible for this service, you need to:

  • Get the same medicine at regular intervals and be stable on that medication
  • Nominate a pharmacy

We also offer Patient Online Access, which allows you to view and order your prescription online. To register for Patient Online Access

Dispensary

If you live at least two miles away from the nearest chemist, you may be able to collect your medication from Mayflower Medical Centre’s dispensary. Please note that this service can only be provided after you have been set up as a dispensary patient in our clinical system. For more information, please contact dispensary directly on 01255 879240.

Dispensary opening times are Monday to Friday 09:00-12:00 and 14:00-18:00
