Home Visits

Home visits are only available for patients who are too ill to attend the surgery, or those who are housebound as the result of illness or disability. If you require a home visit, please telephone the surgery between 8.30am and 10.30am. We are unable to take requests after this time, as home visits are made at the end of the morning surgery.

If possible, please give details of the problem to the receptionist so that the doctors can prioritise their visits. Remember the reception team, like your doctor, is legally bound to treat all your details in the strictest of confidence.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back, as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice. It may also be that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or arrange a hospital attendance.

When considering whether or not you require a home visit, please keep in mind that there are better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.
