Health in Mind helps people with a variety of mental health problems in and around Colchester and Tendring such as:
- Mood problems e.g low self-esteem, depression or interpersonal problems
- Anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, social anxiety and shyness, health anxiety or excessive worries
- Traumatic Stress
They are only trained to help with these specific problems. Your GP can suggest other avenues of treatment for you if Health in Mind is not suitable.
You must be registered, or be intending to register with a GP in the area to use Health in Mind, although they won't necessarily contact us if you don't want them to.
You will also need access to a phone or to be able to attend one of their community based venues for treatment and assessment.
Health in Mind is run by Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust in partnership with Colchester Mind. Together they use their expertise to offer a wide range of talking treatments sometimes called 'psychological therapies.'
